Commercial Product photographer
Way back last summer (I remember it well) I had the pleasure of being chosen as the commercial product photographer for Ego Gardening Power Tools, along with Refinery Marketing and Communications . The shoot was over two days and involved a total of four products. The four products were to be shot in different scenarios being used and also focusing on the product itself. With each product being allocated a half day.
A large part of the shoot depending on the good old British weather what could go wrong ? I’m happy to say the sun came out for both days . So much so that I had a very tanned back of the neck along with a great t-shirt tan line . Lovely 😊…
Anyway back to the shoot .
The Photoshoot
Over the two days there was also two locations . Have to say the team at refinery picked two stunning locations . So all that was left was for me to get the desired shots . Piece of cake 😉
As per usual to get the various angles needed I spent a large part of the shoot on the floor. However there was also a number of overhead shots. One in particular involved climbing scaffolding. Not one for heights I looked forward to that one. After a wobbly climb and not looking down, I’m happy to say I managed it . This was a really interesting and challenging shoot. And I know in the title I’ve related it to product photography, but as you can see there was also plenty of lifestyle photography. We all know how I like to mix it up. Keeps life and work interesting.
A special thanks to the team at Garden 360. Not only do they know their stuff in the Gardening Power Tools world, they are pretty good models too. Great shoot with a great team . Let’s do it again sometime soon . Next time I’ll wear factor 50 😉.
