Childrenswear Fashion Product Photography
A lot of my recent blogs have been on my lifestyle fashion photography so on this post I thought I would share a little more of my childrenswear fashion product photography. My childrenswear fashion is a large part of my photography and product is arguably the busiest one.
I photograph the clothing for my client Minoti UK based in Manchester as flat shots . This however is not as easy as it sounds. In order to make the garment have a certain look creases are added and in many of the shots the garments are filled out too. This obviously takes time and a little patience too 😉 .. In all aspects of professional photography there is no such thing as a ‘quick snap’ . I really don’t like that phrase ….
As well as the flat shots there is of course the fashion accessories. These include shoes, hats, scarves, gloves and socks. I think thats enough to be going on with and it certainly keeps me busy 😉 . For the fashion accessories different angles are required. For instance the shoes have three different angles needed for the photography so this alone can take some considerable time. The end result is the potential buyer can see exactly what they are purchasing.. Which at the end of day is the whole purpose of commercial photography ..
As much as I enjoy working with the models on my various fashion shoots I do enjoy the product photography shoots. The challenges it can throw my way from time to time with various lighting changes and set ups keeps me on my toes .. Variety is the spice of life they say 😉
In the next few posts I’m going to show more on the various types of product photography I shoot, from 360 photography to shooting ice cream, have to be quick on that one. So watch this space.
