Advertising Campaign Photography for Manchester Arndale

Advertising Campaign Photography …

Advertising Campaign photography can incorporate many styles and types of photography. This can be still life, product photography, fashion and styled stills to name a few.  This shoot for Manchester Arndale’s Christmas campaign had all of the aforementioned.  Busy few days for me then. Just how I like it 😉

Shooting for the Arndale meant I was again teamed up with Refinery Advertising Agency and Raj Kara and Luci Salt. Always a pleasure working with the team at Refinery. We always have a laugh, whilst working hard of course… The shoot was planned over 5 days. Broken down like so. Day 1 and 2 styled stills ( this part is saved for a later blog) . Product photography day 3 and 4 . The last day was fashion model shots.

The first two days as I mentioned were for the styled stills which I will blog about at a later date so I’ll move on to the next part of the shoot.

Product Photography …

The idea for the shoot was the model would be captivated by all the Christmas gifts floating around her,  in line with the tv ad that was being shot by The Gate films. All products were to be shot on a white background to be cut out in post production. Now with the current situation with COVID I suggested to shoot the product at home as I didn’t need the space of a large studio as most of the items were small. So two days of working from home were scheduled. Kept Boris happy I’m sure 😉

FashionPhotography / Model Shots …

As with the product photography the fashion also needed to be shot on the white back ground. This time I needed more room so I was back at Foundary Film studios with Raj and Luci for company. All masked up of course 😉 There were several outfit changes all styled beautifully by Fashion Stylist Rosie J Farnworth. The model was Rebel and she did a fantastic job as you can see. All about acting and she did it perfectly. Made the shoot run so smoothly.

My shooting was complete , and it was now time to process and edit the images for Refinery to do their magic. Namely Sabrina Haughton. Loved what you did with the final images. That’s why I thought I would show this in the blog, just how we got to the final images for the ads …

GREAT TEAM EFFORT …
