Kids Fashion Photography

One of my latest fashion shoots was for Children’s wear wholesaler Minoti. Kids fashion photography isn’t necessarily niche in the photography world, but it has to be approached with a certain type of attitude. This being the attitude of a big kid, with a little bit of sensible thrown in of course 😉 ..

When photographing children or indeed any one they need to feel comfortable. This is especially true with kids fashion photography. The models we used for Minoti were absolutely fantastic giving me every pose I wanted with a few of their own thrown in too. We all got on very very well. The tricky part, and you wouldn’t have known that the Autumn / Winter fashions we were shooting were in the middle of a heat wave, so the coats and jumpers were not a welcome sight.

The theme of the fashion shoot was left to me and I went for an urban feel. The location was very handy as there were many places that suited the theme around Minoti’s offices in Swinton Manchester. So not far to take the kids , another bonus. Making it as easy as possible for the models was the prime objective, and this showed in the great images the whole team achieved.
