Workwear Fashion Photography

I was commissioned to do the workwear fashion photography for Black Rock Work Wear’s new brochure. The client, based in Manchester was already established in the safety accessories market. They had decided to branch out into the clothing side. The brief appealed to me as they wanted a workwear brochure with a fashion edge.

The location was at the manufacturers premises in Manchester and this gave me the perfect environment. The back grounds suited what the client and myself wanted to achieve. The models were from Nemesis in Manchester whom I had worked with several times before so I knew they would give me exactly what I needed.

Given free reign for the day at the location the shoot could not have gone better. Even when a spot of rain was needed to show the materials durability the Manchester weather obliged.

The commercial photography brief was in two parts with the second to photograph all the product from the shoot as stills. This was carried out at my studio and all clothing was shot as flats to show the texture. Belts and shoes were also shot as table product photography shots the next day including flat shots in the studio.

Client was extremely happy with the overall look of the brochure. I may be a bit biased here but the fashion brief worked extremely well with workwear and I’ll look forward to shooting the next one.
