Creative Jewellery Photography for Ejay Antiques
Creative Jewellery Photography …
Back in August I had the pleasure of photographing for Ejay Antique Jewellery. They wanted images for advertising in the very popular lifestyle magazine Cheshire Life. A refreshing change as now a lot of my work is for social media and website. So it will be nice to see my shots in print. The Jewellery was stunning with some amazing pieces, so I couldn’t wait to photograph them.
Eddie and Lorraine who own Jay Antiques got in touch with me earlier the same month with a brief of what they wanted to achieve. With Jewellery photography it can be misleading to clients how long the shoot can take. This was not the case with Eddie and Lorraine. They were totally understanding of the process and the attention to detail this type of photography demands. Dealing with reflections , positioning , and tonal range to mention just a few.
The brief was for a lifestyle shoot with props to enhance but not take over the final image. After several meetings Eddie and Lorraine decided to plan the various shots style wise themselves. I have to say they did a fantastic job. So I can’t take any credit for that as much as I’d have liked too 😉 …
With their excellent planning the shoot went very smoothly. A two set up at a time system was implemented. As I worked on one set up Eddie and Lorraine set up the next shot and so on. This enables the client to utilise the time to the maximum. The day went really well and we managed to get all the shots done. Can’t wait to see the final advert in the magazine. Of course they’ll still pop up on social media too. Can’t ignore that valuable media .
Looking forward to shooting with Ejay again soon.
