Footwear advertising fashion photography for Deichmann Shoes …

Back in August I had the pleasure of yet again shooting for Deichmann shoes along with Refinery Marketing . This time it was for their own brand Autumn collection.  The location for the photoshoot was sunny Manchester  hmmm … More about that a little later on. Certain areas had been picked a week or so earlier on the recce . So all that was left to me was the task of shooting it. Alongside , once again Jon shooting the video. As said many times before we do work so well together and never get in each other’s way. I try but he always manages to get his shot. 😉

The shoot started in Castlefield , always a favourite of mine. The theme for the day was ‘family around town’ . So three models were chosen comprising of mum, dad and daughter . Now I mentioned sunny Manchester . Well not always and certainly not on this day . Rain decided to show its face . Fortunately armed with umbrellas and location lighting , and the odd break in the rain we got some great shots. The shots in exchange square stood out for me . Liked the splashing close up too . I wanted a go. Have to say though the umbrella shots were my favourite. And they added to the authenticity of being in Manchester… Result! 😉

So with plenty of walking around and Ubers we managed to cover most of Manchester . And get some great shots. Big shout out to the models and of course my trusted asst Ania as always. The team at refinery too. Making sure of the timings along with the ever present Raj as art director. Had to mention him too of course.

A very busy and enjoyable day shooting with a great team. There was also the still life shoot but that’s for another blog soon. Watch this space…
