Location Fashion Photographer

As a location fashion photographer it can be one of the most challenging types of photography. Despite this it is one of the most enjoyable. I always like a challenge. Now talking of challenges the Boardmans Design SS17 collection  was to be shot on location in Lytham. All ok but we were shooting at the end of October. First thing I thought was i’ll order the sun.  Sure enough on the day the sun and blue skies appeared. So with the weather behaving itself the only thing I required the models to do was to look warm and relaxed in the chilly weather. The models from Nemesis Manchester obliged perfectly.

I had discussed the location for the fashion shoot at length with the client. Lytham beach huts just seemed the perfect location for the latest collection. With the different textures and colours and of course the beach close at hand there was plenty of variety to shoot the collection.

An early start was required as the next obstacle with the time of year was exactly that time. The days are much shorter so myself and the creative team had until 3 30pm to get exactly what we wanted. Fortunately with extremely good models and creatives the brief was achieved. The final shot with the models sitting outside the beach hut is my favourite of the day, you’d think they were abroad enjoying the sunset.. I wish 😉 .. Maybe next time..

A very successful day, and I have to admit a lucky one too with the beautiful blue sky and sun. With styling by Sam Thomson and Hair and Make Up by Alsion Chesterton I already had a great start and i’ll give myself some credit too…;)
