Manchester Food Photographer
As a Manchester food photographer I shoot regularly on location across the Northwest but also all over the UK. So this particular food photography shoot took place in Didsbury just outside Manchester for Circulon UK. Working once again with Refinery Marketing and Raj Kara art directing, assisted by Dominique Hall and Abbie Maher. The very talented home economist/food stylist Kate Bottomley prepared all the dishes. Always love working with Kate makes my job so much easier as she is an excellent cook. Its got nothing to do with the fact that I eat all the food she prepares. Nothing at all ;). Mind you I do have to fight Raj for it throughout the day. Any way more about the photoshoot … 😉
As I said the shoot took place in Didsbury. The chosen house was stunning with a very roomy kitchen. Perfect for photography. I have shot in some tight spaces and still managed to get the shots. But when I’m given loads of room I’m not complaining.
The morning started with the product shots , three in total of various collections. Lots of rearranging to get the shot just right so time was needed. I’m not showing them in this blog as this is purely a food one. That can be for another post.
The afternoon was the introduction of the food. Yum ;). The idea was to show the non stick of the pans so plenty of sizzling shots and whisking. For this the use of flash was needed so out came the trusted Bowens XMT ‘s. Would highly recommend them. Enough of the Bowens plugging . The dishes Kate created were perfect for the idea of the shoot and looked great . So pleased with the shots . Not just from me but from a great team of creatives on the day. Food tasted great by the way. Think Raj may have had more than me. I’ll get him back next time.
