Product Food Photography …
My latest product food photography shoot was for cookware company Circulon UK . The location was on the Wirral in Cheshire at the home of Nick Bradshaw owner of Oakbase advertising agency who of course were overseeing the whole shoot. This also meant the reuniting of myself , Raj Kara (art direction) and Kate Bottomley food stylist. Between the three of us we always come up with the shots. Can’t take the full credit although throughout the day I do try too 😉 …
The photoshoot was for Circulon’s packaging to be shot over three days. Meaning Kate and Raj had to put up with me for quite a while , not an easy task but they just about managed it. It’s not unusual for this type of photoshoot to be on a tight deadline but this one pushed that a little further. It’s not every day I see my images on the art work printed whilst still on the shoot. Actually I think it may catch on, nothing like a little bit of pressure to get the creative juices flowing …
With my food photography I always like to use natural daylight using reflectors, which meant chasing the day. Fortunately the days are getting longer so we just managed to squeeze every drop of light out of the day … Thankful of my trusted tripod and long shutter speeds … “nobody move I’m pressing the shutter” !! 😉
Great three days, always enjoy working with the team at Oakbase and the packaging looked great even if I do say so myself …
