Carrying on from my previous blog for Dechmann ‘Back to School’ product photography shoot. This particular shoot was the lifestyle fashion at the Cheshire Ice Cream Farm just outside of Chester. Very handy whilst shooting Children’s Fashion as there’s always ice cream on hand 🙂 Not just for that, the location itself was perfect for what we wanted to do.

Once again shooting with Advertising Agency Refinery from Manchester with art direction by Raj Kara. The shoot was split again for both video and photography. Pretty much the norm now. Video was with Jon from Naive Studio. Always like working with Jon as we have a great understanding and appreciate we’ve both got a job to do. Basically we don’t get in each others way 😉 I enjoy working with video, as when they’re shooting it allows me to get some candid shots as well as my featured shots. With my canon R5 silent shutter Jon didn’t even know I was there. So it’s a win win.

Now with location shoots there is always the chance of the word that should never be said …Rain. And unfortunately for a part of the day the rain did decide to make an appearance. No bother though, as the indoor play centre at The Ice Cream Farm came in very handy indeed. With a little help from my location lighting (namely Bowens XMT ‘s) the shoot could carry on. The sun did decide to reappear a little later after lunch too. Result.

The models on the shoot were fantastic, striking a pose when needed and not a single moan when the rain came down. Well might have been from me 😉 . But seriously a great days shooting and really pleased with the end result. Finally mustn’t forget the amazing staff at The Ice Cream Farm they could not do enough for us and made us feel very welcome.Which made for a much easier day. So Thank you .
